Oklahoma Tornado and How You Can Help

I was supposed to post a craft today.  I stopped that post.  I can't deal with crafting right now.  My heart is broken.  I live in tornado alley.  I know this happens.  I've seen it first hand.  It doesn't make it any less heart wrenching when it happens again.  So what can we, you and I who aren't there do?  We can donate, please use one from this list.  These are FEMA approved agencies.  That means they are allowed into the ground zero areas.  If you have friends or family in the area let them know these shelters are available.

Don't show up!  If you have such a strong urge to be there to help, contact one of the groups that is on the list and volunteer to go with them.  Then wait until you are called.  They have enough headaches they don't need a bunch of well meaning people showing up.  Also don't send stuff.  Yes they have lost everything but the have no place to put stuff.  Again, donate those items to someone on the list above, they will ask for what they need when they need it.

One last thing you can do and that is pray, send good thoughts, whatever it is you believe in.  There are families who lost their children.  There are people who have lost everything they lost.
