Let's start with the cup cones, I grew up calling them cake cones.
These cones are small, 3" tall. They aren't much smaller than the real thing according to this site. Those gluten-laden cones range from 2 5/8" and 3 1/4". Score one for Goldbaums for not giving us a smaller cone than the "regular" ones! I haven't had a cake cone in years so I'm not sure what the real ones taste like today. Remember those wafer cookies that had the odd frosting filling? That's what these taste like! They are really good.
Now for the sugar cone. My personal favorite!
These are a little longer than the cake cones coming in at 4 1/2" long. That's the exact same size as the ones listed on the site I referred to for the cake cones! It's not often that the gluten-free version is the same size. These taste so much like "regular" sugar cones that I don't think anyone would know that they are eating gluten free.
The four of us, two gluten freers and two gluten eaters, were very pleased with the products. Naturally, the two gluten-free eaters were happier as it had been a long time since they had had an ice cream cone. I don't think I've ever seen adults so happy for an ice cream cone. The down side is they aren't available locally.
If you want to see if they are available in your area you can use the store locator. If they aren't you can purchase them from Amazon cake cones and the sugar cones.
